387 photos in four hours: the Naks photo booth at Kristiine Centre with VillemDrillem
At the VillemDrillem & street-style festival in Kristiine Centre, the Naks photo booth printed 387 photos in 4 hours. AI removed the background and guests picked one of three backdrops.
On Saturday, 10 October, Kristiine Centre hosted the VillemDrillem & street-style festival — and our photo booth was there. Even with music and activities all around, there was a queue at the booth throughout the day.
VillemDrillem is an Estonian hip-hop artist, known for example from „Paaristõuked“ with 5miinust, which reached number one on the Estonian Tipp-40 chart in 2019.
What we did
This time the booth used AI background removal. Guests stepped in front of the camera, the AI separated the person from the background, and they could choose which of three backdrops they wanted on their photo. Every photo was printed on the spot with the festival design — logo and „@Kristiine“ on the print — so everyone took home a personal festival souvenir.

That is more than 1.5 photos per minute on average. The booth was busy the whole time — people came back with friends, switched backdrops and took another photo.
